Flint-Area Bowlers Secure Spots in MHSAA State Finals
Several Flint-area bowling teams and individual athletes have qualified for the MHSAA state finals, set to take place from February 27-28. The regional competitions saw intense battles and impressive performances across multiple locations.
In Region 3, Grand Blanc secured the team title, followed by Davison, both earning a place in the state finals. On the individual side, Lucas Knowles of Grand Blanc took the regional championship. Davison's Donovan Owens and Lapeer's Luke Meinz also qualified for the state finals. In the girls' competition, Oxford took the team title, with Davison securing the second spot. Grand Blanc and Holt each sent two bowlers to the individual state finals.
Region 14 witnessed a standout performance by Flint Kearsley. Jameson Vanier won the individual regional title, leading his team to success. Flint Kearsley also saw Nathan Richardson, Chase Parr, and Kolin Doyle qualify for the state finals. In the girls' competition, Delaney Vanier of Flint Kearsley secured the top spot. Kearsley qualified four bowlers for the state finals.
Region 23 saw Imlay City's girls' team shine, with Morgan Robertson finishing second and Faith Schriber securing a fifth-place finish, both qualifying for the individual state finals.
In Region 31, Burton Atherton and New Lothrop dominated the team competition. Burton Atherton's Brennen Eaton won the individual regional title. Tayden Ducre also qualified for Atherton. Byron and Burton Bendle also had strong showings, with Byron winning the girls' team title. Byron and Bendle each qualified two bowlers for the girls' individual state finals.
