**Wisconsin Father Charged in School Shooting Case**

In a developing story out of Madison, Wisconsin, Jeffrey Rupnow, the father of 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, is facing felony charges related to a tragic school shooting that occurred last December. Natalie Rupnow opened fire at Abundant Life Christian School, tragically taking the lives of a teacher, Erin Michelle West, and a 14-year-old student, Rubi Patricia Vergara, before taking her own life. Two other students were critically injured in the attack.

Jeffrey Rupnow, 42, was taken into custody early Thursday morning and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child and two counts of providing a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 resulting in death. Each of these charges carries a potential prison sentence of up to six years. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

The investigation is focused on how Natalie Rupnow obtained the two guns used in the shooting. Authorities have not yet publicly disclosed a specific motive for the attack. This case mirrors a concerning trend of parents facing legal consequences in the wake of school shootings. Similar cases include the conviction of the parents of the Michigan school shooter in 2021 and the arrest of a father in Georgia. The Abundant Life Christian School, a nondenominational institution serving approximately 420 students from pre-kindergarten through high school, is now grappling with the aftermath of this devastating event.
