Eight Sleep has unveiled its latest innovation, the Pod 5 Ultra, a smart mattress cover system that promises to revolutionize sleep and health tracking. This fifth-generation system, starting at $5,849, boasts the world's first AI-powered technology capable of predicting illness.

The Pod 5 Ultra builds upon the features of the Pod 4, which is currently the best smart bed of the year, with enhanced sleep tracking and temperature regulation. New features include a hydro-powered blanket for improved cooling, built-in surround sound speakers, and an AI algorithm that detects potential illness by monitoring heart rate, HRV and respiration. The system can alert users to anomalies that may indicate an impending illness.

The Pod 5 Ultra offers three models: Core, Plus, and Ultra. The Ultra is the complete package, including the smart mattress cover, hub, blanket, and smart bed base.
