Dying Light: The Beast Release Delayed to September

Techland has announced a delay for the upcoming standalone adventure, *Dying Light: The Beast*. The game, originally slated for release on August 22, will now launch on September 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The delay of several weeks will allow the development team to refine key aspects of the game.

According to a press statement from Techland, the extra time will be dedicated to polishing the user interface, gameplay balance, and player animations. The studio emphasized its commitment to delivering the best *Dying Light* experience to date. The developers believe that the additional time will allow them to address final details and elevate the game from "good to great."

*Dying Light: The Beast* features the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the original *Dying Light*. After a decade of captivity and genetic experimentation, Crane seeks revenge against the Baron, the sinister figure responsible for his suffering. The game will see Crane battling hordes of infected in Castor Woods, a former tourist destination. Crane will utilize parkour skills, rage-fueled powers gained from the Baron's experiments, and a variety of weapons to overcome his enemies. The game is expected to offer approximately 20 hours of gameplay, with completionists potentially spending 40 to 60 hours.

BNN's Perspective: While delays are often disappointing for eager gamers, Techland's decision to prioritize quality is understandable. Focusing on polish and refinement can significantly improve the player experience. Hopefully, the extra time will result in a more polished and engaging title that lives up to the expectations of the *Dying Light* fanbase.
