Dolphins Release Outside Linebackers Coach Following Legal Issues

The Miami Dolphins have dismissed outside linebackers coach Ryan Crow, according to reports. The move comes after Crow's arrest on domestic battery charges in late August. Following the arrest, head coach Mike McDaniel placed Crow on indefinite administrative leave while the legal proceedings unfolded.

Crow joined the Dolphins two years ago, arriving from the Tennessee Titans after defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver was hired. Prior to his time in Miami, Crow held various coaching roles with the Titans, including defensive assistant and assistant special teams coach. He eventually became the outside linebackers coach in 2021, where he coached Harold Landry to a Pro Bowl season.

During Crow's tenure with the Dolphins, he faced challenges, including injuries to key players like Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb. Senior defensive assistant Sean Ryan stepped in to work with the outside linebackers group in Crow's absence. Phillips was later traded to Philadelphia.

With Crow's departure, Ryan will continue to coach the position group for the remainder of the season. The team's pass rush is currently led by Chubb, with contributions from Robinson and Judon.
