Disney Adventure World Opens, Ushering in New Era for Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has unveiled a significant transformation with the debut of Disney Adventure World, a rebranding and expansion of its second theme park. The centerpiece of this reimagining is the opening of World of Frozen, a land dedicated to the popular animated film.

The park's transformation aims to enhance the immersive storytelling experience for visitors. A key element of the redesign is Adventure Way, a new landscaped promenade featuring the "Raiponce Tangled Spin" attraction and The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. This avenue leads to Adventure Bay, a lake that now hosts the "Disney Cascade of Lights" nighttime show.

The grand opening ceremony was marked by a special announcement from Spider-Man, who appeared atop the park's Earffel Tower to reveal the new name. The first guests to experience the park were children and families from the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Within World of Frozen, guests can explore a recreation of Arendelle, the kingdom from the "Frozen" films. The land includes the "Frozen Ever After" attraction, the "A Celebration in Arendelle" stage show, and the Nordic Crowns Tavern, which offers a menu inspired by Scandinavian cuisine.

The opening event was attended by Disney executives, including Josh D'Amaro, Disney Experiences chairman; Thomas Mazloum, Disney Experiences president; and Natacha Rafalski, prsidente of Disneyland Paris. The celebration also featured a performance by singer Santa, who sang "Into the Unknown" from "Frozen 2," and a duet of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" with a 10-year-old Make-A-Wish recipient and a robotic Olaf. International celebrities, including actors from "Emily in Paris" and Spice Girl Emma Bunton, also attended the event.

Disney Adventure World and World of Frozen are now open to the public, inviting guests to experience the magic firsthand.

BNN's Perspective:

The expansion and rebranding of Disneyland Paris demonstrates Disney's ongoing commitment to providing immersive and engaging experiences for its guests. While the focus on popular franchises like "Frozen" is likely to attract a wide audience, it's important to ensure that the park maintains a balance between new attractions and the classic Disney charm that has captivated generations. The inclusion of Make-A-Wish families at the opening is a commendable gesture, highlighting Disney's commitment to community engagement.
