Dennis Rodman to Enter WWE Hall of Fame in 2026

Basketball legend Dennis Rodman is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class. This announcement, confirmed by ESPN's Shams Charania, adds another high-profile name to a class already featuring wrestling stars AJ Styles, the tag team Demolition, and Stephanie McMahon. The induction ceremony is scheduled for April 17, 2026, at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, the night before WrestleMania 42.

Rodman's inclusion brings renewed attention to the celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame, a category that has previously honored figures like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Donald Trump. His connection to professional wrestling is more substantial than many celebrity participants. He made his debut in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1997 as a member of the New World Order, alongside Hollywood Hulk Hogan. His presence helped draw mainstream attention to wrestling during a period of significant popularity.

Rodman's wrestling career included an in-ring debut at Bash at the Beach in 1997, teaming with Hogan. He returned to the same event the following year, this time with Hogan against Karl Malone and Diamond Dallas Page in a celebrity tag match. Rodman also appeared at Road Wild 1997, and had a 1999 feud with Randy Savage. His most recent wrestling appearance was in September 2023 on an episode of AEW Collision.

The other inductees have also been announced. AJ Styles was confirmed following his retirement ceremony, with The Undertaker making a surprise appearance. Demolition, a three-time WWF Tag Team Champions, were also announced by The Undertaker. Stephanie McMahon was the first inductee revealed back in September 2025.

Rodman's basketball achievements are well-documented. He won five NBA championships, two with the Detroit Pistons and three with the Chicago Bulls. He led the NBA in rebounds per game for seven consecutive seasons and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.

BNN's Perspective:

The inclusion of Dennis Rodman in the WWE Hall of Fame is a smart move. His name recognition and past involvement in wrestling will undoubtedly generate interest and excitement. While some may debate the merits of celebrity inductees, Rodman's contributions to the industry, combined with his undeniable star power, make him a worthy addition.
