Pregnant Wife of Former NBA Player Survives Shark Attack
In a harrowing incident, Eleonora Boi, the pregnant wife of former NBA player Danilo Gallinari, survived a shark attack while at a beach. Boi, who was six months pregnant at the time, was enjoying a walk in the water when she felt a sharp pain in her leg. Initially believing it was a jellyfish sting, she quickly realized the severity of the situation.
Boi recounted the terrifying experience, expressing her fear for her own life and the safety of her unborn child. She was crying and desperate, fearing for her life. A Good Samaritan at the beach provided immediate assistance, wrapping her wound while Gallinari sought further help. Boi was then transported to the hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, Boi shared the news on Instagram, expressing her disbelief at being attacked by a shark, especially near the shore of a crowded beach. She confirmed that both she and her baby were safe and that she had undergone successful surgery to repair her leg. Boi also expressed gratitude to the Good Samaritan who assisted her and thanked her husband for his support.
Gallinari, a veteran of the NBA with a 13-year career, has played for several teams, including the Knicks, Nuggets, and Clippers. He currently plays for Vaqueros of Bayamon in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). During his NBA career, Gallinari averaged 15.2 points over 728 games.
BNN's Perspective: This incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of the ocean. While shark attacks are relatively rare, this event highlights the importance of safety precautions and the need for quick and effective responses in such situations. We are relieved to hear of Boi's recovery and the safety of her baby.
