Cyberpunk 2077 Receives Update 2.31, Enhancing AutoDrive and Photo Mode

CD Projekt Red has released patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing improvements to the game's recently introduced features and addressing various bugs. The update focuses on refining the AutoDrive system, which was initially introduced in the July 2025 update, patch 2.3.

AutoDrive has been significantly upgraded. Vehicles now navigate more smoothly, overtaking obstacles and no longer stopping at traffic lights. In Free Roam mode, the system has been enhanced to adhere to traffic rules and navigate the city more effectively.

Photo Mode also receives attention in this update. New poses added in Update 2.3 are now compatible with all character genders. Additionally, NPC collision has been disabled, allowing players to more easily position non-player characters on objects.

Patch 2.31 also includes a comprehensive list of bug fixes. These address issues across various aspects of the game, including vehicles, Photo Mode, quests, the open world, and PC and Mac-specific problems. The update resolves problems related to vehicle behavior, quest progression, localization, and graphical settings.

BNN's Perspective:

The continued support for Cyberpunk 2077 is encouraging. While the initial launch was marred by issues, the developers' commitment to improving the game through updates like 2.31 demonstrates a dedication to their player base. The enhancements to AutoDrive and Photo Mode, along with the numerous bug fixes, should contribute to a smoother and more enjoyable experience for players.
