Covid-19 cases on May 4: India sees a 6 per cent rise in infections 3962 cases logged in 24 hours
New Delhi: India on May 4 logged 3962 fresh cases of covid-19 which is a 6 per cent increase in 24 hours. While this was the second consecutive day wherein cases rose by a small margin, the active case count is on a countrywide decline. At present, as per the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 36244 active cases of covid in the country. The recovery rate has increase to 98.73 per cent while death rate continues to be stable at 1.18 per cent. The first-ever lockdown of covid pandemic was imposed in March 2020 in India. Immunisation drive for the same started in January 2021.
