College track and field: Cobber men's and women's teams both place seventh at MIAC meet

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. The Concordia men's and women's track and field teams both placed seventh at the Minnesota Outdoor Track and Field Championship over the weekend at Bethel University.
The St. John's men won with 216 points and St. Olaf was second at 176. The Cobbers finished with 41.5 points.
Concordia's Cal Wright earned all-conference honors with a second-place finish in the 400 meter in 46.95 seconds. Bethel's Jacob Parent won in 46.76.
The Cobbers' 4x400 relay team also placed second in 3 minutes, 20.41 seconds. Bethel won in 3:14.39.
The Cobber women finished with 55 points. Gustavus won with 154.5 points and St. Olaf was second with 143.

Concordia's Allyson Kangas was second in the hammer throw in 163 feet, 2 inches. St. Scholastica's Lily Beneke won at 180-11.
Peyton Selle placed second in the javelin with a throw of 125-9. St. Catherine's Bryana Leverentz won at 134-10.
The Cobbers' 4x400 relay team placed third in 49.36 seconds. Gustavus won in 47.15 and St. Benedict was second in 49.27.
