CBSE Announces Supplementary Exam Dates and Guidelines
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement of supplementary examinations for Class 10th and 12th students, offering an opportunity to improve their results from the main board examinations. The exams are scheduled to begin on July 15th.
The Class 12th compartment exams for various subjects will be held on the same day, starting at 10:30 am and concluding at 1:30 pm. Class 10th examinations will span a period of seven days.
Along with the exam dates, CBSE has also released the date sheet, admit cards, and detailed guidelines for the examinations. Students can access these resources on the official website.
The board has emphasized the importance of adhering to specific rules during the examination. Students are strictly prohibited from bringing communication devices, including smartphones, pagers, Bluetooth devices, headphones, and smartwatches, into the examination center. Any student found with prohibited materials will face consequences under UFM (Unfair Means) rules.
Furthermore, students are expected to maintain discipline within the examination hall, refraining from any communication with other students and avoiding any misconduct towards examiners. The time allotted for each exam is specified in the date sheet and admit card, and students are advised to adhere to the schedule. A 15-minute period will be provided for students to read the question paper before beginning to write their answers.
Students are advised to arrive at the examination center one hour before the exam's start time. They must occupy their designated seats and follow the instructions provided by the examiner. Uniforms are also mandatory for all students during the examination.
Admit cards can be downloaded by private students from the official website. Regular students are required to obtain their admit cards from their respective schools. The process involves visiting the official website, navigating to the Pariksha Sangam portal, and following the instructions to access and download the admit card.
BNN's Perspective:
The CBSE's supplementary exams provide a crucial second chance for students to demonstrate their academic abilities. While the strict guidelines regarding prohibited items and exam conduct are understandable to maintain fairness and integrity, it's important to balance these measures with a supportive environment that encourages students to perform their best.
