The prosecution's star witness, Cassie, recounted a 2016 incident at a Los Angeles hotel where she was allegedly assaulted by Combs. During cross-examination, she read aloud text messages, including one where she told Combs, "I'm not a rag doll. I'm somebody's child," highlighting her defiance and pain.
The trial, which began this month, stems from Cassie's 2023 lawsuit accusing Combs of physical and sexual abuse. The trial is ongoing, with several other women expected to testify. The judge is considering the timing of Cassie's testimony due to her pregnancy and impending delivery. Combs, 55, faces a potential 15-year prison sentence if convicted.
