Capcom is removing Dragons Dogma 2s Deluxe Edition and microtransactions from sale

Capcom is set to remove the Deluxe Edition of Dragon's Dogma 2, along with a suite of microtransactions, from sale on Thursday, June 25. This move precedes the launch of the game's Dark Arisen expansion later this year. The base version of Dragon's Dogma 2 will also see a permanent price reduction.

Capcom has stated that these removals are a consequence of ongoing development for additional content and adjustments planned for an upcoming title update. The specific items being taken off the market include the Deluxe Edition itself, along with several individual content packs. These packs offered various in-game benefits such as a new journey pack, items for luring harpies, a pendant, an incense to change pawn inclinations, a jail escape key, a character editor, a warp location marker, a resurrection item, and multiple tiers of Rift Crystals.

Previously acquired content will remain usable by players. However, two specific packs, Explorers Camping Gear and the Music and Sound Collection, will continue to be available for purchase.

The Dark Arisen expansion, announced recently, is slated to introduce a new storyline and content, incorporating player feedback into the original game. This expansion marks the series' debut on the Nintendo Switch, with Dark Arisen also confirmed for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. The expansion is scheduled to launch on October 9.
