BET Cancels "106 & Sports" After Eight Episodes
BET has decided to end its sports-focused program, "106 & Sports," after airing only eight episodes. The show, a spin-off of the original "106 & Park," which concluded in 2014, premiered on October 15, 2025, with its final episode airing on December 3, 2025.
The program was hosted by former NFL quarterback Cam Newton and sports analyst Ashley Nicole Moss. The network confirmed the cancellation in a statement, indicating that no further seasons will be produced. However, previous episodes will remain available on BET platforms.
"106 & Sports" was filmed at Tyler Perry Studios. The network's Vice President of Unscripted Programming and Development, Tiffany Lea Williams, stated that the choice of filming location was intentional, aiming to capture the cultural dynamics of the city. The show featured interviews with prominent figures from the sports world, including Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson, Gary Payton, Tim Hardaway Sr., and Bianca Belair. Neither Newton nor Moss have commented publicly on the cancellation.
