California Leads the Nation in Low Wholesale Electricity Prices

California is experiencing a surge in renewable energy production, leading to the lowest wholesale electricity prices in the United States. According to recent data, the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) grid has consistently demonstrated the most affordable wholesale electricity rates, a trend that has persisted through 2025 and 2026.
