"Bob's Burgers" Star Eugene Mirman Injured in New Hampshire Car Crash

April 1, 2026 - Actor and comedian Eugene Mirman, best known for his role as Gene Belcher on the animated series "Bob's Burgers," sustained serious injuries in a car accident on Tuesday. The incident occurred at the Bedford Toll Plaza in New Hampshire.

According to a press release from New Hampshire police, the crash involved a single vehicle, a 2026 Lucid Gravity, driven by Mirman. A State Trooper assigned to Governor Kelly Ayotte's security detail responded to the scene and found the vehicle on fire with a passenger still inside. The Trooper, along with Governor Ayotte and other bystanders, assisted in pulling Mirman from the burning car.

Mirman, 51, was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The police statement indicated that no charges have been filed at this time, and the crash remains under investigation. Colonel Mark B. Hall praised the heroic actions of those who assisted at the scene, highlighting their selfless efforts to aid someone in need. Governor Ayotte also expressed her gratitude on social media, thanking the Trooper and bystanders for their brave actions.
