Keene Resident Amy Duke Passes Away at 93
Keene, NH – Amy Duke, a lifelong resident of Keene, has died at the age of 93. She passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2025, at the Cheshire Medical Center.
Born on April 27, 1932, to Stanley and Maude Brown, Duke was known for her dedication to her community. She was a mother and caregiver to many children and had a deep affection for dogs.
Duke was a longtime member of the Hope Chapel, where she actively participated in Bible study and offered support through prayer. She found joy in gardening and competed in floral competitions at the Cheshire Fair. She also enjoyed visiting the ocean.
Duke was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Louis Duke Sr., two grandsons, a son-in-law, her twin brother, and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon M. Spofford and Heidi M. Sprague, along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A calling hour for family and friends will be held on January 15, 2026, at the Foley Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on January 16, 2026, at the Hope Chapel, followed by a burial at the Monadnock View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to one's favorite charity or performing a good deed in her memory.
