AMD RX 9060 XT: A Budget-Friendly GPU That Could Shake Up the Market

AMD has officially launched its new Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card at Computex 2025, promising a compelling option for PC gamers seeking value. The RX 9060 XT is available in 8GB and 16GB versions, priced at a competitive $299 and $349, respectively. This pricing positions it directly against Nvidia's RTX 5060, setting the stage for a potential showdown in the lower-mid-range GPU market.

Early performance tests suggest the RX 9060 XT could outperform the RTX 5060 Ti in gaming, offering a 6% performance advantage at 1440p resolution with ultra graphics settings. AMD also claims a 15% performance-per-dollar advantage compared to the RTX 5060 Ti, although this comparison uses the 16GB version of the RX 9060 XT against the 8GB version of the RTX 5060 Ti.

The RX 9060 XT boasts 32 compute units, a boost clock of 3.1GHz, and a TDP of 180W. It utilizes GDDR6 VRAM. The card is scheduled to go on sale on June 5th. However, the success of the RX 9060 XT hinges on whether third-party manufacturers adhere to the MSRP and if stock levels can meet demand.
