PITTSFIELD – Adelson & Co. PC, an accounting firm, has announced the appointment of two Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) as shareholders and partners. Anthony "Tony" Wimperis and Sylvia Zygawski have been elevated to these positions.

Wimperis brings over 15 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, advising both individuals and businesses. His expertise spans various industries, including real estate, construction, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare. He is also a certified valuation analyst, specializing in business valuations. Wimperis holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Babson College and a master's degree in taxation from the University of New Haven. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Zygawski, a CPA licensed in both Massachusetts and New York, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the State University of New York. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts and New York Societies of CPAs. Zygawski's experience includes extensive audit work across private companies, nonprofits, municipalities, private schools, and employee benefit plans. She has specialized training in auditing, compilations, and reviews, and is experienced in compliance audits. Additionally, she leads internal training and supports quality control within the firm. She is actively involved in the community, serving on the board and Finance Committee of Community Health Programs.

Carol Leibinger-Healey and David Irwin are also partners at Adelson & Co. PC. Gary Moynihan and Richard LaFleche, former partners, now serve as senior directors. Adelson & Co. PC, established in 1938, provides audit, tax, and advisory services.
