Adam Lambert and Oliver Gliese End Relationship After Four Years
Singer Adam Lambert and his boyfriend, Oliver Gliese, have reportedly ended their four-year relationship. The split, which occurred within the last month, was amicable, according to reports. Lambert, a Grammy nominee, is 14 years older than Gliese, a Twitch streamer.
The couple, who began dating around 2020 and made their relationship Instagram official in May 2021, have not shared a photo together on the platform since June 2024. In March 2024, Lambert posted a photo with the caption "Love is the answer." In 2023, Lambert publicly defended Gliese against homophobic comments, expressing his love and admiration for him.
News of the breakup emerged shortly after reports that Lambert sold his Hollywood Hills estate for $6.2 million. Lambert previously dated retired figure skater Johnny Weir in 2010, though the relationship was never confirmed.
Lambert, who gained prominence on *American Idol*, made history in 2012 as the first openly gay male artist to top the US Billboard 200 chart. He is now preparing for his role as Judas Iscariot in a production of *Jesus Christ Superstar* at the Hollywood Bowl. The show will run from August 1-3. Lambert has also revealed he is working on an original musical set in 1970s New York. He has released an EP called *Afters* in 2024 and has sold over 3 million records worldwide.
BNN's Perspective: While the end of any relationship is unfortunate, it's encouraging to see the split was reportedly amicable. Lambert's continued success in his career, coupled with his openness about his personal life, demonstrates a positive evolution in the entertainment industry.
