Local Businesses Team Up to Offer Sweet and Savory Delights
Several local businesses are offering exciting new menu items and collaborations this month, providing a variety of culinary experiences for residents and visitors alike.
Thrills Soft Serve and Big Island Candies are joining forces for a special dessert collaboration. On September 13th and 14th, customers can enjoy two unique creme brulee creations. The first features macadamia nut shortbread crumbled into Thrills ice cream, topped with vanilla bean creme brulee, and served with milk chocolate-dipped macadamia nut shortbread. The second option combines Kona mocha shortbread with macadamia nut ice cream, vanilla bean creme brulee, and dark chocolate-dipped Kona mocha shortbread. Each dessert is priced at $9. Guests will also have the opportunity to win special treats from both businesses.
Hokulani Bake Shop is showcasing local flavors with its new seasonal cupcakes. Throughout September, customers can indulge in the mango sticky rice cupcake, a mango cake with coconut tapioca filling, topped with haupia buttercream frosting. A limited-time offering is the POG cupcake, a marbled mix of lilikoi and guava, topped with orange zest cream cheese frosting. Cupcakes are available in-store and for pre-order online. Online orders over $50 can receive a discount using a promotional code.
Moobongri Soup & Yakiniku has introduced a new all-you-can-eat menu available for both lunch and dinner. The menu includes items like L.A. kalbi, spicy pork, fried mandoo, corn cheese, spicy squid, and beef tongue. Lunch is priced at $27.95, while dinner is $35.95. All members of a party must order from the same menu, and the AYCE option is only available for dine-in. Reservations are recommended.
