Get ready, BLINKS! A documentary about BLACKPINK's LISA is officially in the works, promising an intimate look into the pop superstar's life. Announced on Thursday, May 29th, during a Sony Music Vision event in Los Angeles, the film will chronicle a year in LISA's life as she embarks on her solo career, stepping away from the globally renowned K-pop group, BLACKPINK.
The documentary is a collaboration between LLOUD CO./RCA Records, Tremolo Productions, and is being directed by Sue Kim. Kim, known for her work on award-winning documentaries like "The Last of the Sea Women" and "The Speed Cubers," promises to reveal a side of LISA that fans have never seen before. The film will capture "offstage moments" and offer a unique perspective on her journey.
The event showcased clips from the documentary, including LISA's 2025 debut solo performance at Coachella and glimpses of her life in Thailand. LISA herself expressed her excitement, highlighting the joy of working with Kim and the opportunity to share these special moments with her fans.
The Sony Music Vision event also previewed other exciting documentary projects, including films on Barbra Streisand, Oasis, and Elvis Presley. Director Baz Luhrmann provided insights into the Elvis documentary, "EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert," which will feature never-before-seen footage and unheard recordings of the King of Rock and Roll. Luhrmann described the film as a journey through Elvis's life, weaving iconic performances with intimate moments, offering a fresh perspective on the legendary artist.
