23rd China-ASEAN Expo to Focus on New Business Opportunities

NANNING, China – The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo is scheduled to take place from September 17th to 21st, promising to unlock new business prospects and economic advantages. The event, organized by the CAEXPO Secretariat, coincides with the fifth anniversary of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership and the upcoming implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) 3.0 Upgrade Protocol.

The expo will highlight opportunities stemming from CAFTA 3.0, with dedicated exhibition zones focusing on the digital economy and green, low-carbon development. The event will also showcase the Pinglu Canal, a key infrastructure project, emphasizing its role in connecting Southwest China with ASEAN countries.

A new edition of the CAEXPO blue book will be released, offering expert insights into business opportunities across nine key areas under the CAFTA 3.0 framework. The expo will invite both Chinese and international companies to share their experiences in the free trade area's development. High-level dialogues on economic and trade cooperation will facilitate discussions on policy benefits and regional economic integration.

The expo aims to serve as a platform for open cooperation, promoting smooth industrial and supply chains. It will emphasize high-quality products from ASEAN countries, facilitating their entry into the Chinese market, with a focus on sectors like agricultural products, green building materials, and smart home appliances. Investment matchmaking sessions will also be organized.

This year's expo will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into economic collaborations, with an AI exhibition zone showcasing China's advancements across various sectors. A dedicated area will highlight AI's role in safety management, including cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and applications in agriculture, manufacturing, education, and healthcare. The financial sector will also exhibit advancements in digital currency and AI-driven financial solutions. The "AI CAEXPO" intelligent system will be used to facilitate matchmaking between exhibitors and potential partners. The ASEAN exhibition area will focus on emerging industries and high-tech enterprises, including digital, green, and new energy sectors.

BNN's Perspective: The China-ASEAN Expo appears to be a significant event for fostering economic ties and trade. The focus on CAFTA 3.0, the digital economy, and AI integration suggests a forward-looking approach to regional cooperation. While the expo's success will depend on various factors, it presents a valuable opportunity for businesses to explore new partnerships and contribute to regional economic growth.
