Wheres the rain? Vancouver on track for driest September in years
If youve noticed less rain than usual this month around Vancouver, youd be right. As of Thursday, Sept. 22, the region has only seen about seven millimetres of rain. Thats significantly down from the norm, which is about 51 millimetres, according to Meteorologist Michael Kuss. While the number is drastically different from the usual, its not a record. Kuss says in 2012, the Vancouver area saw a mere five millimetres of rain all September. Related article: Vancouver fall forecast includes sun, moderate temperatures Meanwhile, to contrast more recent numbers, September 2021 was one of the wettest ever, with 155 millimetres. Rain is in the forecast for Vancouver and the surrounding region Friday. Kuss also says while the fall isnt expected to bring any sort of deluge, the Lower Mainland will likely see rain every three to five days.
