"One Battle After Another" 4K Blu-ray Preorders Now Available

Ahead of its theatrical premiere this Friday, preorders for Paul Thomas Anderson's new film, "One Battle After Another," are now live on 4K Blu-ray. Walmart briefly offered preorders for a limited-edition steelbook, but it appears to be sold out or temporarily unavailable. The standard 4K Blu-ray edition is currently priced at $37. Amazon has yet to open preorders, but updates will be provided once available.

The film, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Chase Infiniti, and Teyana Taylor. Early reviews suggest "One Battle After Another" could be a major awards contender, currently holding a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The action thriller with dark comedy elements runs for 162 minutes. DiCaprio portrays a former revolutionary, Bob Ferguson, who must rescue his daughter, Willa, played by Chase Infiniti, from his enemy, Col. Steven J. Lockjaw, portrayed by Sean Penn.

"One Battle After Another" is inspired by Thomas Pynchon's 1990 novel, *Vineland*. Anderson previously adapted Pynchon's *Inherent Vice* in 2014, which is considered "based on" the novel. While *Inherent Vice* is only available on Blu-ray, fans of Pynchon have more to look forward to. Pynchon's new novel, *Shadow Ticket*, is scheduled for publication on October 7.

This marks Anderson's tenth feature film, all of which he has written and directed. With the exception of his debut, Anderson has also produced all of his movies. "One Battle After Another" is only the third Anderson film to receive a 4K Blu-ray release.
