Lisa Marie Presley's Final Moments Detailed in Legal Battle

New details surrounding the death of Lisa Marie Presley have emerged in a legal dispute involving her mother, Priscilla Presley. The information is contained within a legal complaint filed by Priscilla's former business partners, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, in Los Angeles. The complaint reportedly includes excerpts from Priscilla's upcoming memoir, "Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis."

According to the alleged excerpts, Priscilla rushed to her daughter's side at a hospital after Lisa Marie suffered complications from a small bowel obstruction related to prior bariatric surgery. While waiting for Lisa Marie's daughter, Riley Keough, a code blue was announced, indicating the singer's heart had stopped.

The alleged excerpts detail the doctor's conversation with Priscilla, who was asked about the course of action. The doctor reportedly informed Priscilla that Lisa Marie's heart had been restarted, but there was no guarantee it would continue beating. Priscilla allegedly asked about the quality of life if Lisa Marie remained on life support, and the doctor indicated there would be none. Priscilla then purportedly instructed the doctor to remove Lisa Marie from life support, after which she collapsed.

The amended complaint from Kruse and Fialko alleges that Priscilla made this decision for financial reasons, violating Lisa Marie's advanced healthcare directive. The original lawsuit, seeking $50 million, also accused Priscilla of prematurely pulling the plug.

Priscilla's attorneys, Wayne Harman and Marty Singer, have previously dismissed the lawsuit as "shameful, ridiculous, salacious, and meritless." In response to the amended complaint, they issued a statement criticizing Kruse and Fialko, accusing them of elder abuse and attempting to control Priscilla's finances. Priscilla countersued in 2024 with a financial elder abuse lawsuit of her own. Kruse and Fialko's lawyer, Jordan Matthews, has stated that Priscilla's claims are unsubstantiated.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, died on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54, following a cardiac arrest. She was a mother of four and was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin, who died in 2020.

BNN's Perspective:

This case highlights the complexities and emotional toll of end-of-life decisions, especially within a family grappling with grief and legal disputes. While the allegations are serious, it's crucial to remember that these are claims within an ongoing legal battle. A fair assessment requires considering all sides and awaiting the court's findings.
